CHERRY TREE BEADS IS COMING BACK FOR A FANTASTIC 2 DAY GEMSTONE TRUNK SALE!

            Bill Edwards of Cherry Tree Beads is returning to Avalon for our summer gemstone trunk sale! What a great opportunity to stock up on beautiful gems and glass!  They will be setting up their mountains of gemstones, pearls, pendants and racks of glass beads on Friday and Saturday July 10TH & 11TH  during  regular store hours.  The selection will be awesome and their prices are always great! DESIGNS BY ‘J’ – A FABULOUS LOCAL LAMPWORKER WILL BE AT AVALON FOR A 2 DAY TRUNK SALE!

            Jay McIver, one of Gainesville’s best glass lampworkers will be visiting Avalon for a 2 day trunk sale on August 21st & 22nd. Jay is best known for his wonderful sea turtle, dragonfly and other sealife themed glass pendants. Jay and his wife Cathy do art shows from Key West to Savannah and we’re excited that they are coming to do a trunk show with us! Below is a picture of Jay and a few of his beautiful sealife pendants!

COME PLAY AT AVALON!

            Summer is a great time for crafting! Whether you are looking for something ‘cool’ to do with your children, or wanting to get a head start on holiday gifts, we always have a place for you to come and work here at the store. Bring the kids or meet a friend and make some jewelry! We don’t charge a studio fee. Limited assistance is available, like if you need help attaching a clasp or putting together a basic earring. Larger groups should call ahead to make sure we have space available.

WHAT’S NEW?

            We are now carrying a selection of jewelry display items, such as necklace boards, earring racks, price tags, and more. These are for the convenience of our jewelry designers with small business needs, but many of the items, like the very pretty earring racks could be used at home. Check out our new ‘display area’ next time you’re in the store!                                                                                                                            

            This last month we have gotten in a big selection of ‘naturals’- wood and shell strands from the Philippines. These are earthy and lightweight and go great with gemstones like turquoise.                                             

               We also have some new clasps from Saki Silver, including sterling, brass and bronze. These are so beautiful and would be a wonderful finishing touch to any design!
